NEW! You'll enjoy a flow class with a moderate pace and intensity with a focus on connecting breath with movement. The teachers prepare a sequence of postures that include a mix of stability, balance and mobility, linked with functional transitions and breath. There will be at least 10 minutes dedicated to meditation time (not including savasana), using various meditation techniques such as guided, visualization, or silent seated meditation with a slow, flowing sequence in the ambience of candlelight. Open to all levels of experience. Bring to class: yoga mat and water.

Join Shanti Yoga Center teachers for a flow style class that combines rhythmic movements and breath with simple and accessible sequences that will help you improve your flexibility, relieve physical tension, and reduce stress. All levels of students are encouraged to practice to their own ability. You’ll learn foundational principles and be encouraged to explore depth with variations that meet you where you are. The end of class will include a short time for deeper relaxation or meditation. Bring to class: mats or towel and water bottle. Enter main doors at Shanti Yoga Center. Class at Milk & Honey Ciders will be under the amphitheater or on the grass.

Harmony on Water: Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga & Sound Bath

Join us for a unique experience that combines stand-up paddle board yoga with the soothing vibrations of a sound bath. Class will begin with a brief introduction to paddle boarding techniques and safety along with a gentle yoga warm-up before finally experiencing a meditative sound bath with crystal singing bowls, chimes, and drums, while you float peacefully on your SUP board. NOTE: All participants must sign a waiver and be over 16 years of age. Participants under 18 wlll need a parent or guardian to sign the waiver. No lifeguard will be present.

Intermediate Tennis

It's time to get out on the court and improve your tennis game! You'll develop a better understanding of serving, volleys, backhand and forehand shots while getting some exercise outdoors. Easy-to-hit balls and equipment will be used to make the game simple to learn as needed. This course is meant for adults with some basic tennis experience. Bring to class: a racket. If you do not have a tennis racquet, a select number of racquets will be available.

Introduction to Kayaking - Full Day

If you are new to Kayaking or want to improve your skills, this 6-hour beginner course offers professional kayaking instruction to help participants develop new skills and feel confident on the water. Class will begin at Clear Waters Outfitting before moving to the calm and scenic Warner Lake that is perfect for beginners. Be prepared to get in the water. All participants must sign a waiver and children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 18 need waiver signed by parent. No lifeguard will be present. Introduction to Shoulder & Foot Massage

This hands-on class provides the opportunity for partners or close friends to learn basic techniques and experience some of the benefits of massage. Physician’s approval is requested if you have an upper back or neck injury. As this class involves learning massage techniques through hands-on practice, participants must sign up with a close friend or partner. Both participants must be registered. Music Lessons for Adults - Beginner, Intermediate or Beyond

Do you want to learn how to play guitar, bass guitar, banjo, mandolin, or ukulele? Led by Steve Cekalla's Guitar and Music School, these professionally-led group lessons are matched to your skill level. You’ll receive three virtual 30-minute group lessons that is fun for beginners, or a more technique and theory-focused for those with instrument experience. Bring to class: your own instrument, however a limited number of guitars are available if requested prior to the start of classes. Pickleball Lessons: Beginner One, Beginner Two, and Intermediate

Come experience the fastest growing sport in the country! Beginner One sessions will teach players the rules, proper form and basic strategies of the game. Beginner Two sessions will help participants strengthen core skills, improve game knowledge and shot selection. Intermediate sessions will focus on strategy and shot selection while improving consistency of skills. Please bring paddle or one will be provided. Class may be moved inside to another location due to weather conditions. Beginner One players (1.0-2.0) are new to pickleball and have a minimal understanding of the game and no prior experience. Beginner Two players (2.0-2.9) have a basic understanding of the rules and can maintain a short rally. Intermediate players (3.0-3.5) can maintain rallies and volley effectively with both forehand and backhand and serving and return consistently with direction and depth. About the Instructor: Nicole Idalski grew up playing tennis at the high school, collegiate and USTA levels. Since converting to pickleball, she has won in women's and mixed doubles at the 4.0, 4.5 and Senior Pro levels and teaches pickleball lessons to all ages and skill levels.

Pottery for Adults: Beginner or Intermediate (16+)

Whether you are new to clay or have some previous experience, you'll improve your skills with art teacher Melanie Pattay. Beginners will start with the basics of throwing cups, bowls, and plates. More experienced potters can expand on their skills with larger pieces, adding handles, lids, and manipulating pieces after throwing. Three sessions will focus on throwing, while the final session is reserved for painting your pieces in a watercolor style. It’s a 3-D and 2-D experience! The June 10th and July 8th sections are for intermediate potterers while the July 9th section is for both beginner and intermediate potterers. Items will be fired after the final class and available for pickup at the Community Ed office. Pick up date/time will be communicated with participants. Enter door 2.

Rock Steady Boxing for Seniors

This boxing-for-fitness program is for seniors over 55 as well as individuals with Parkinson's Disease. You'll participate in non-contact boxing drills that help build motor skills, balance and coordination through a variety of different exercises including punching a heavy bag, hitting the focus mitts and some glove-to-glove contact. A variety of movements, stepping, bobbing and weaving help you build focus, be attentive and get in shape. Class instructors are certified through Rock Steady Boxing of Indianapolis and the Struthers Parkinson's Center of Park Nicollet. Boxing gloves will be provided along with walkers, canes and wheelchairs to assist those that need support when standing. Wear light shoes for standing on foam wrestling mats.
