Mahjong 101 Lesson
NEW! Discover the fascinating game of Mahjong, a tile-based game with rich history dating back to ancient China. In this beginner-friendly class, you will learn the history and fundamentals of the game, including an overview of the tiles, how to read and understand the NMJL card, and the rules of play. ECFE for Parents and Threes & Fours & Fives
For parents and children 3 years to kindergarten entry age. Classes include parent-child playtime, time for parents to observe their young children playing in an early childhood learning center, and time to discuss parenting concerns with other parents and a teacher. Child guidance and parent support are provided by teachers licensed in early childhood and parent education. This class will separate to a parent education room for parent discussion.

Axe Throwing Lessons for Youth (Ages 13-17)

Your child can learn the modern twist of axe throwing. This activity is empowering and enjoyable. We'll learn precision and accuracy in this four-week class of lessons and games throwing axes, and participants will refine their axe-throwing skills until they can throw axes with amazing precision. BMX New Rider League (Ages 5 & Up)
Recreation
Rider Race league is an introduction to the rewarding sport of BMX. Included in the program is a full year membership for USA BMX allowing the rider to participate in any event at any track in the United States, four coached lessons with our experienced riders teaching the fundamentals of BMX racing, entry into five races, a custom BMX jersey with the riders name printed on the back, a Pineview Park BMX number plate for their bike and free rental of a BMX bike and helmet (if needed). The program is geared towards riders five years old and older who are proficient riding a pedal bike. For specific questions, contact Terry Schroeder at tschroeder39@gmail.com. Babysitting Clinic (Ages 10-14)
Special Interest
At this babysitting class, your child will learn how to keep other children safe, handle difficult behaviors, change diapers, feed a baby, and more. They'll also learn the basics of first aid and talk about how to handle emergency situations. Students will not be officially certified in CPR or First Aid with this class. NEW! At this fun online foodie class, you'll learn how to pinch, squeeze, and pleat delicious and easy-to-make dumplings from home. You'll learn how to make the dumpling wrappers and chicken vegetable filling from scratch before folding and cooking the dumplings into potstickers paired with a delicious sauce. Battle Drones (Grades 3-8)
Special Interest
Battle Drones features an exciting combination of aerial acrobatics with an engineering design challenge that will teach students STEM concepts, teamwork, and how to skillfully fly a drone. In Battle Drones, teams of students will build robotic launchers designed to fling projectiles at their opponents’ drones. Students will be guided by experienced camp instructors in how to construct their launchers to maximize projectile speed and accuracy. The camp will culminate in an epic battle where students will need to pilot their drones to safety by dodging opponent projectiles while using their own launchers to take down opponent drones. The best drone pilots and launchers will emerge victorious! Enter door 1.

Beginner & Intermediate Distance Running & Apollo Cross Country Practice (Grades 5-12)
High School Summer Activities
This is a great way to learn about distance running and improve endurance in a fun, supportive environment. There will be opportunities for every level of runner, but no prior running experience is required. Practices will be in conjunction with the Apollo High School Cross Country Running team. On Mondays and Wednesdays, we will start at Wilson Park. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, we will start at Apollo High School. Meet at door 11 @ Apollo. Sign-up Options (participant limit of 18 participants who need transportation) No transportation needed - FREE Transportation Mondays and Wednesdays only (Apollo to Wilson Park) - $10 Full Transportation (Pick up/Drop off from Discovery, North, or YMCA) - $20

Canoeing Basics

This beginner session offers basic instruction and experience to help participants learn how to canoe. Class will take place at the calm and scenic waters of Warner Lake that is perfect for beginners. You can sign up with a partner or be paired with another paddler. All participants must sign a waiver and children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 18 need waiver signed by parent. No lifeguard will be present. All equipment will be supplied by Clear Waters Outfitting. Meet at Warner Lake boat launch.

Chinese Immersion Camp (grades K-5)

The Chinese Immersion Program at Madison Elementary will offer a 3-day Chinese Immersion summer camp. Students will learn the Chinese language, culture, music, painting, dancing, games, martial arts, etc. The focus of the summer camp will be on speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The teachers will help beginners learn basic conversations. Intermediate-level students will keep expanding their knowledge of Chinese through readings and a variety of fun and engaging educational activities. The goals of our camp are for students not only speaking Chinese confidently but also being aware of and appreciating Chinese culture. Enter door 8.

Clay Camp at The Children's Art Studio with Claire Witt (ages 5-12)

At these creative clay classes, your child will study a bird specimen and make a bird house from a clay slab in the first session as well as potters wheel instruction, making 10 bowls, both big and little. In the second session, your child will make 10 bowls of various sizes on the potter’s wheel while hand building a honeypot and sugar bowl. Both sessions will include an outdoor pit-firing of our bowls. Sign your child up for one or both sessions!

Clearwater Rodeo

We're headed back to the rodeo! Watch events such as calf roping, bull riding, saddle bronco riding, steer wrestling, steer roping and barrel racing. Meet at North Junior High School for group transportation to the rodeo.Tuition includes entrance fees and transportation. Bring to class: spending money for concessions. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: July 28, 2025. NOTE: Dial-a-ride will not be an option for this event.
