Participants will learn on Warner Lake which is a small, calm, non-motorized and secluded lake surrounded by a scenic park that is perfect for learning new kayaking skills. Soon after you register for this 3-hour class, the instructor will contact you to get information and coordinate between a variety of available dates and times during the summer to fit in your schedule. Rock Steady Boxing for SeniorsWellnessStarting SoonRock Steady Boxing is an exciting boxing-for-fitness program for seniors over 55 as well as individuals with Parkinson's Disease. You'll participate in non-contact boxing drills that help build motor skills, balance and coordination through a variety of different exercises including punching a heavy bag, hitting the focus mitts and some glove-to-glove contact. A variety of movements, stepping, bobbing and weaving help you build focus, be attentive and get in shape. Class instructors are certified through Rock Steady Boxing of Indianapolis and the Struthers Parkinson's Center of Park Nicollet. Boxing gloves will be provided along with walkers, canes and wheelchairs to assist those that need support when standing. Wear light shoes for standing on foam wrestling mats.Summer 2022
