2022 Tigers Youth Summer Basketball Camp for Boys & Girls(Grades PreK-8)
Join Tiger Coach Don Ferguson for this camp! Each session will focus on ball handling, shooting, finishing at the basket and reading defenses. Participants will also be engaged in 1-on-1, 2-on-2, and 3-on-3 competitive activities. Players participating should have had experience playing either in the rec leagues or traveling programs. Acrylic Painting on Canvas for Youth (Ages 8 & Up)

African Safari - Drawing Art Workshop (grades K-5)
Go on a Safari adventure with Young Rembrandts this summer! We will explore the exciting land and many animals that inhabit Africa. We will draw a variety of animals in various scenes with different media. To keep things exciting, we will explore the African Safari through the fun technique of cartoon as well. This flag football league is a great way for your child to be introduced to the game of football! Games will be played on Saturday mornings at Apollo. There will be a short practice followed by two games each Saturday. Your child will learn basic football skills like passing, running, and catching from the Apollo coaches and varsity football players. Each child will practice valuable life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship in an enthusiastic learning environment. Your child will be invited on the field for a home Apollo varsity game to be part of the starting lineups and introductions. A t-shirt will be provided (please indicate Youth XS, S, M, L or Adult S, M, L, XL, XXL). Bring to class: plenty of water. Please meet by the football field. Apollo Youth Football Camp (Entering Grades 3-8)
Hutt one, hutt two! We want to see you in Red, White, and Blue! Your child can make their way to the Apollo Eagle non-contact youth football camp and experience a fun opportunity to learn and develop the fundamentals of football. Your child will work with the Apollo coaches and varsity football players learning blocking, tackling, ball security, offensive and defensive line techniques, and how to run proper pass routes. There will be many opportunities for them to participate in competitions with prizes awarded. These competitions include: 7 on 7 passing, field goal kicking, punt, pass, and kick. Players should dress according to the weather (t-shirts and shorts are suggested). Bring to camp: plenty of water. Please meet by the football field. Apollo Youth Tackle Football League - (Entering Grades 5 & 6)
The Eagle Youth Tackle Football League is back! This is a padded, full contact league offered to students attending Discovery, Kennedy, Madison, Westwood, Lincoln, and North Junior High. All players must be entering 5th or 6th grade for the 2022-23 school year. Your child will learn the basic football skills of blocking and tackling. In addition, your child will practice valuable life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship in an enthusiastic learning environment. Practices will be held two times per week at Apollo High School in the evenings and games will be played on Saturday mornings. Bring to football league: shoes, mouth guard, and plenty of water. Pads and other equipment will be provided. Scholarships: All North side players are encouraged to participate in football. Babysitting 101 (Ages 11-13)
Caring for another child will help your child tap into and develop important qualities such as trust, honesty, creativity, patience and communication. Your child will gain the skills they need to earn extra cash and have fun through babysitting. This educational course follows the American Academy of Pediatrics Babysitting Lessons and Safety Training (BLAST). Instructors share current practices for safety and injury prevention, first-aid basics, feeding and caring for infants, how to handle behavior problems and how to manage a babysitting business. Your child will receive a reference book, recipe and game handouts, babysitting bag and first-aid kit. Tuition includes materials. Bring to class: nut-free lunch, snacks and a beverage. Beginning Guitar at Spicer Music Studio
Students start with simplified chords and can play songs after the first lesson! Students are challenged, but not overwhelmed and they progress at their own speed. This is a great place to start and build a good foundation to keep moving forward. Students will need to bring their own guitar. Ceramics and Mosaic for Teens with Claire Witt (ages 13-16)
NEW! Your child will use recycled mirror, broken dishes, found objects and hand-made tiles to make mosaics of the sky at night. Mosaic is artwork made by placing small pieces of stone, colored glass, recycled and hand-made tile into a design or picture and then cementing it into a wooden base. Mosaics are often used as floor and wall decorations and were particularly popular in the Ancient Roman world. We will study this ancient art form and make mosaic pictures of the night sky that will glow and sparkle. Visit St. Cloud’s first neighborhood gateway, a 25 foot tall flat-house made of steel and mosaic designed by Witt in 2012. -

Your child can enjoy time with friends while decorating cookies with summer themes! At the end of each class, they'll bring home tasty and beautifully decorated cookies to share. Drone Programming (Grades 3-8)
Students will learn to program and fly at the same time! Groups of students will use drones that can be programmed to perform aerial maneuvers with entry level, block based coding. The fun and excitement of flying drones makes it easy to forget that students will be learning valuable 21st century programming skills in the process. The camp will consist of a variety of fun challenges where students will put the programming skills that they learn to the test. Flag Football (Ages 5-14)
NEW! DASH Sports flag football camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced daily, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with scrimmages/games the final day where players can showcase their skills. Athletes should bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and a snack (spikes/cleats, and mouthguards are optional). Flag Football Tykes (Ages 2-5)
NEW! DASH Sports flag football tykes camps provide players with an introductory experience to the great game of football in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced. Fun, skill-based games will be played to practice newly learned skills. Athletes should bring a water bottle (spikes/cleats are optional). Footballs and flag belts are provided. Parent participation is encouraged when needed.
