Whether you are new to clay or have some previous experience, you'll improve your skills with art teacher Melanie Pattay. Beginners will start with the basics of throwing cups, bowls, and plates. More experienced potters can expand on their skills with larger pieces, adding handles, lids, and manipulating pieces after throwing. Three sessions will focus on throwing, while the final session is reserved for painting your pieces in a watercolor style. It’s a 3-D and 2-D experience! The June 10th and July 8th sections are for intermediate potterers while the July 9th section is for both beginner and intermediate potterers. Items will be fired after the final class and available for pickup at the Community Ed office.
