Running Adventures & Apollo Cross Country Practice (Grades 5-12)


Courses Youth / High School Summer Activities -
Summer 2024

It’s time to get off the beaten path and do some trail running! We will visit a different County/Regional/State parks each session. Participants need to be able to run at least 2 miles continuously. (June Beginner and Intermediate Distance Running is a great way to get ready!)

Some locations will include an opportunity to swim. Participants who choose to swim must wear a life jacket. Contact the coach if you need a life jacket. Practices will be in conjunction with the Apollo High School Cross Country Running team. Meet at door 11 @ Apollo.

Tentative Locations:

Sand Dunes State Forest, Bertram Regional Park, Elm Creek Park Preserve, Kraemer Lake Park, Lake Rebecca, Lindbergh State Park

Sign-up Options

  • No transportation needed - FREE (Unlimited participants)
  • Transportation from Discovery, Apollo, North, YMCA - Also Free! Support Provided by a LEAF Grant (limited to 18 participants)
