Does your child want to learn how to play chess? Chess is a stress-relieving, complete brain workout that embodies elements of art, science and sport. Beginner and intermediate players will expand their skills, develop strategy, and improve pattern recognition. This introductory course is designed to instill a desire to learn and improve at the greatest strategy game on earth. Participants are encouraged to bring their own chess sets and a notebook. About the Instructor: Mr. Long Chen has placed in the top three in chess tournaments in Laredo, TX; St. Cloud, MN; and Berlin, Germany since age nine. He has a Lichess rating of 2100+ in both Blitz and Rapid formats.
