Flow + Restore Yoga
NEW! You'll enjoy a flow class with a moderate pace and intensity with a focus on connecting breath with movement. The teachers prepare a sequence of postures that include a mix of stability, balance and mobility, linked with functional transitions and breath. There will be at least 10 minutes dedicated to meditation time (not including savasana), using various meditation techniques such as guided, visualization, or silent seated meditation with a slow, flowing sequence in the ambience of candlelight. Open to all levels of experience. Bring to class: yoga mat and water.

You'll also learn how to use a sewing machine, iron, cutting tools and other useful tools. Bring to class: your own sewing machine (optional) or one can be provided. NOTE: You have the option to purchase the following materials or have them provided for a supply fee of $25.00 (bring to class via cash or check payable to Instructor Becky Jackson): ¾ yard main fabric. ¼ yard cuff fabric, (optional) 2" strip for accent stripe, spool of sewing tread to match main fabric. Meditative Sketching through Pen and Ink

NEW! You can practice mindfulness and meditation using pen and ink at this creative class. You'll learn the basics of sketching while covering a wide range of topics including inking techniques, intuitive drawing, and urban sketching. All skill levels welcome. Bring to class: ink pad sketch book and fine liner pen (one may be provided upon request for an additional $15 supply fee). Enter door 1.

Music Lessons for Adults - Beginner, Intermediate or Beyond

Do you want to learn how to play guitar, bass guitar, banjo, mandolin, or ukulele? Led by Steve Cekalla's Guitar and Music School, these professionally-led group lessons are matched to your skill level. You’ll receive three virtual 30-minute group lessons that is fun for beginners, or a more technique and theory-focused for those with instrument experience. Bring to class: your own instrument, however a limited number of guitars are available if requested prior to the start of classes. Contact information to schedule classes will be given at the time of registration.

Origami Crane Mobile

NEW! You'll learn the history and meaning behind origami cranes while creating a paper crane mobile at this hand-on class. Participants will fold origami cranes and assemble them using step-by-step instructions to create a beautiful, one-of-a-kind wall hanging. All levels welcome!

Pottery for Adults: Beginner or Intermediate (16+)

Whether you are new to clay or have some previous experience, you'll improve your skills with art teacher Melanie Pattay. Beginners will start with the basics of throwing cups, bowls, and plates. More experienced potters can expand on their skills with larger pieces, adding handles, lids, and manipulating pieces after throwing. Three sessions will focus on throwing, while the final session is reserved for painting your pieces in a watercolor style. It’s a 3-D and 2-D experience! The June 10th and July 8th sections are for intermediate potterers while the July 9th section is for both beginner and intermediate potterers. Items will be fired after the final class and available for pickup at the Community Ed office. Pick up date/time will be communicated with participants. Enter door 2.
