Tiger Power Summer Strength & Conditioning Program
Tiger Power Summer Strength and Conditioning Program (Grades 7-12)The Tech Power program is designed to develop EXPLOSIVE speed and strength. We incorporate Olympic weight movements, circuit training, plyometrics, and dynamic speed development to monitor and track your athlete’s growth and development. Sessions will run from 8:00-10:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays. Our start date is June 4th and our last day is Aug 1st. Participants learn to be comfortable with new skills in deep water and learn new strokes. Safety topics include helping yourself and others in an emergency, safe weather conditions for swimming and proper use of lifejackets. Children's Art Studio Clay Camp with Claire Witt (ages 5-13)
Arts & Crafts
Each participant will make 10 tiny bowls and a large fruit bowl on the electric potter’s wheel from a slab of clay. Your child will learn how to fire their work in a safe backyard hole on location at St. Cloud’s favorite Art House. About the Instructor: Claire Witt is a professional artist who designed the mosaic mural in Wilson Park’s Kaleidoscope Playground.

The Chinese Immersion Program at Madison Elementary will offer a 3-day Chinese Immersion summer camp. Students will learn the Chinese language, culture, music, painting, dancing, games, martial arts, etc. The focus of the summer camp will be on speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The teachers will help beginners learn basic conversations. Intermediate-level students will keep expanding their knowledge of Chinese through readings and a variety of fun and engaging educational activities. The goals of our camp are for students not only speaking Chinese confidently but also being aware of and appreciating Chinese culture. Enter door 8.

We're headed back to the rodeo! See events such as calf roping, bull riding, saddle bronco riding, steer wrestling, steer roping and barrel racing. Meet at North Junior High School for group transportation to the rodeo.Tuition includes entrance fees and transportation. Bring to class: spending money for concessions. Experience Fall at the Como Zoo! You’ll visit the Conservatory which houses a variety of beautiful flowers and explore animal exhibits. DASH Basketball Tykes (Ages 2-7)

DASH Sports Basketball Tykes camps provide players with an introductory experience to the great game of basketball through fun skill-based drills and mini-games. Players will be taught how to properly dribble, pass, shoot, and play defense in a fun and positive environment. Bring to class: water bottle & wear athletic clothing & shoes. Basketballs are provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group. Enter door 5.

DASH Flag Football Camp (Grades 1-5)

DASH Sports Summer Flag Football camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced daily, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with scrimmages/games the final day where players can showcase their skills. Athletes should wear sunscreen. Bring to class: water bottle, sunscreen, a peanut-free snack (spikes/cleats and mouthguards are optional). Flag belts and footballs are provided.

DASH Sports flag football Tykes camps provide players with an introductory experience to the great game of football in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced. Fun, skill-based games will be played to practice newly learned skills. Bring to class: water bottle and wear athletic clothing & shoes (spikes/cleats are optional). Footballs and flag belts are provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group.

DASH Track & Field Camp (Grades 1-5)

DASH Sports Summer Track & Field camps provide participants with practice in several areas including: sprinting, throwing (javelin and shot put), relay running, long jumping and distance running. Emphasis is on technique and proper form. All players will be timed/tested on the first and last day. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall track and field performance. Campers should wear sunscreen. Bring to class: water bottle, sunscreen, nut-free snack, and wear athletic clothing/shoes. Meet by the track.

DASH Volleyball Skills Camp (Grades 1-5)

DASH Sports Summer Volleyball camps provide players with a well-rounded experience in a fun environment. Key volleyball skills such as passing, serving, and hitting will be taught and practiced throughout the week. Fun, volleyball skill specific games are also incorporated, giving players game type experience, and a better understanding of the game! The final day of camp ends with scrimmages and games for players to showcase their skills. Bring to class: water bottle and nut-free snack (knee pads optional). Volleyballs are provided. Come for a light supper at Zaffiro's Pizza in Waite Park. The night includes a movie at the Marcus Parkwood Cinema attached to the restaurant. Pickup will be at the theater following the movie. Evening Paddle: Canoe, Kayak or Stand Up Paddle Board

Come out and enjoy an evening of paddling with your choice of canoe, kayak, or stand up paddle board! Basic instruction will be provided as needed and all you need to do is arrive to class ready to have fun on the water! All participants must sign a waiver and children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 18 need waiver signed by parent. No lifeguard will be present. All equipment will be supplied by Clear Waters Outfitting. Meet at Warner Lake boat launch.

This full-body workout encompasses kicking, punching and blocking that focuses on developing strength, balance, stability and flexibility. This class is open to men and women and is for beginner or advanced students as well as athletes looking to improve conditioning of the upper, lower body and core.
