Participants have learned all strokes and will concentrate on refining their technique. Safety topics include recognizing spinal injury and proper use of life jacket. Flow + Restore Yoga
NEW! You'll enjoy a flow class with a moderate pace and intensity with a focus on connecting breath with movement. The teachers prepare a sequence of postures that include a mix of stability, balance and mobility, linked with functional transitions and breath. There will be at least 10 minutes dedicated to meditation time (not including savasana), using various meditation techniques such as guided, visualization, or silent seated meditation with a slow, flowing sequence in the ambience of candlelight. Open to all levels of experience. Bring to class: yoga mat and water.

Pickleball Lessons: Beginner One, Beginner Two, and Intermediate
Wellness
Come experience the fastest growing sport in the country! Beginner One sessions will teach players the rules, proper form and basic strategies of the game. Beginner Two sessions will help participants strengthen core skills, improve game knowledge and shot selection. Intermediate sessions will focus on strategy and shot selection while improving consistency of skills. Please bring paddle or one will be provided. Class may be moved inside to another location due to weather conditions. Beginner One players (1.0-2.0) are new to pickleball and have a minimal understanding of the game and no prior experience. Beginner Two players (2.0-2.9) have a basic understanding of the rules and can maintain a short rally. Intermediate players (3.0-3.5) can maintain rallies and volley effectively with both forehand and backhand and serving and return consistently with direction and depth. About the Instructor: Nicole Idalski grew up playing tennis at the high school, collegiate and USTA levels. Since converting to pickleball, she has won in women's and mixed doubles at the 4.0, 4.5 and Senior Pro levels and teaches pickleball lessons to all ages and skill levels.

Rock Steady Boxing for Seniors

This boxing-for-fitness program is for seniors over 55 as well as individuals with Parkinson's Disease. You'll participate in non-contact boxing drills that help build motor skills, balance and coordination through a variety of different exercises including punching a heavy bag, hitting the focus mitts and some glove-to-glove contact. A variety of movements, stepping, bobbing and weaving help you build focus, be attentive and get in shape. Class instructors are certified through Rock Steady Boxing of Indianapolis and the Struthers Parkinson's Center of Park Nicollet. Boxing gloves will be provided along with walkers, canes and wheelchairs to assist those that need support when standing. Wear light shoes for standing on foam wrestling mats.

Senior Ladies Golf Lesson & Play

Calling all senior ladies! Want to brush up on your golf skills and get back into the swing of things? These two Monday morning lessons are designed for senior ladies who have had some golfing experience in the past but needs the confidence to get back onto the course. On both days you will enjoy a 30-minute lesson followed by 4 holes of golf. Come join the fun and show off your swing! Bring to class: your own set of clubs. Power carts are extra, if needed.

Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga

If you are looking for a unique experience on the water then Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga is for you. Whether you do some easy stretching, breathing exercises, or take on a challenging vinyasa flow, everyone will enjoy this class. Be prepared to challenge yourself and maybe even get wet! All participants must sign a waiver and be over 18 years. No lifeguard will be present. All equipment will be supplied by Clear Waters Outfitting. Meet at the Warner Lake boat launch.

Stand Up Paddle Boarding Basics

New Stand Up Paddle Boarders will improve their skills in this beginner course with both on-land and on-water instruction. Class will take place at Warner Lake, a non-motorized lake that is perfect for beginners. Come prepared to get wet and have fun! All participants must sign a waiver and children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 18 need waiver signed by parent. No lifeguard will be present. All equipment will be supplied by Clear Waters Outfitting. Meet at Warner Lake boat launch.

Table Tennis Lessons: Beginner and Beyond

NEW! Learn table tennis (ping pong) basics and improve your skills! This class is ideal for beginning players, and occasional recreational players, wanting to learn more formal skills and improve their game. Players will learn table tennis rules along with standard skills such as forehand, backhand, block, serve, spin & footwork. Opportunities to continue playing are offered through Community Education open gym. Enter door 3.

Walking Program

Invite family, friends and co-workers for fitness and fun! After registration, please pick up your walking wristband at Community Education located in Quarryview Education Center at 800 S. Seventh St., Waite Park, MN 56387. For questions contact Community Education at 320-370-8200 or email CommunityEd@isd742.org or visit our website at www.isd742.org/CommunityEd. The yearly fee for the walking program is $10. Participants must wear a mask and walking wristband at all times while walking in the schools and all district policies, safety and weather procedures must be followed. Times vary with each school and are subject to change. Email communication will be sent regularly to registered participants regarding schedule changes.
