Flow + Restore Yoga
NEW! You'll enjoy a flow class with a moderate pace and intensity with a focus on connecting breath with movement. The teachers prepare a sequence of postures that include a mix of stability, balance and mobility, linked with functional transitions and breath. There will be at least 10 minutes dedicated to meditation time (not including savasana), using various meditation techniques such as guided, visualization, or silent seated meditation with a slow, flowing sequence in the ambience of candlelight. ACT Prep Seminar (Grades 10-12)
Special Interest
In-Person Option: This five-hour seminar enables your learner to prepare for the ACT college admission test. Your child will gain valuable insight into the ACT through a close examination of each type of question. This seminar will teach strategies necessary for answering specific question types and general test-taking tips. It also provides suggestions for post seminar test preparation. Your student will receive 24 practice tests, divided into 20-minute workouts, written to ACT specifications, as well as a detailed preparation study guide. Virtual Option: This five-hour virtual seminar enables your learner to prepare for the ACT college admission test. Your child will gain valuable insight into the ACT through a close examination of each type of question. This virtual seminar will teach strategies necessary for answering specific question types and general test-taking tips. It also provides suggestions for post seminar test preparation. Your student will receive 24 practice tests, divided into 20-minute workouts, written to ACT specifications, as well as a detailed preparation study guide. Participant will have access to the seminar for 6 months. Links with access codes will be provided after registration by Doorway to College/ZAPS. Adult Water/Swim Lesson (Age 18 & Up)

These small group lessons are designed to give any participant the semi-individualized attention necessary in order to improve or master water comfort or swimming skills. Together, the instructor and participants determine the goals for the session and the curriculum is customized in order to meet those goals. Women's session open to women only. American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Provides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. Enter door 2. Prerequisites: Must be 15 years old; Swim 300 yards continuously; Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs; Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds by starting in the water, swimming 20 yards, surface dive to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point, exit the water without using steps or a ladder. Participants who successfully complete the Lifeguarding course receive an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED, valid for 2 years. Come prepared to swim. Apollo Youth Football (Entering Grades K-4)

Youth football for younger players is back! This touch/flag football league is a great way for your child to be introduced to the game of football! Games will be played on Saturday mornings at Apollo. Your child will learn basic football skills like passing, running, and catching from the Apollo coaches and varsity football players. Following the skills session, players will compete in a game each Saturday. Each child will practice valuable life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship in an enthusiastic learning environment. A t-shirt will be provided (please indicate Youth XS, S, M, L or Adult S, M, L, XL, XXL). Apollo Youth Football Camp (Entering Grades K-8)

Hutt one, hutt two! We want to see you in Red, White, and Blue! Your child can make their way to the Apollo Eagle non-contact youth football camp and experience a fun opportunity to learn and develop the fundamentals of football. Your child will work with the Apollo coaches and varsity football players learning blocking, tackling, ball security, offensive and defensive line techniques, and how to run proper pass routes. There will be many opportunities for them to participate in competitions with prizes awarded. Players should dress according to the weather (t-shirts and shorts are suggested). Players do not need pads to attend this camp. Cleats are not required but can be worn. Apollo Youth Tackle Football League - (Entering Grades 5 & 6)

The Apollo Youth Tackle Football League is back for another successful season! This is a padded, full-contact league offered to students attending Discovery, Kennedy, Madison, Westwood, Lincoln, and North Junior High. All players must be entering 5th or 6th grade for the 2024-2025 school year. Your child will learn the basic football skills of blocking and tackling. In addition, your child will practice valuable life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship in an enthusiastic learning environment. Practices will be held two times per week at Apollo High School in the evenings and games will be played on Saturday mornings. Bring to football league: shoes, mouth guard, and plenty of water. Pads and other equipment will be provided. Scholarships: All Northside players are encouraged to participate in football. If the fee is a challenge, please contact the coordinator to talk about scholarship opportunities. Art Studio Cohort @ North (Grades 6-8)

Spring Art Cohort is a combination of Club and Studio. We work hard at creating art for an 8 week period of time, and end with an art show where we present the finished works to friends, family and community members. By joining Art Cohort, you are committing to attending each week (please communicate if there is illness or emergency that prevents you from coming, to find out what you need to catch up on), using your time wisely while at Art Cohort to create art, and participating in our art community, which includes listening well to others, and contributing your own ideas/thoughts to the discussions. ***Limited number of spots available. Students who have participated in Art@ North before will be given priority, and then students will be allowed in by order of grade*** Art Show will be held at Youth for Christ 203 Cooper Ave North on May 2nd, 7-8pm (artists must be present from 6:00-8:30pm)

BMX New Rider League (Ages 5 & Up with Caregiver)

NEW! Rider Race league is an introduction to the rewarding sport of BMX. Included in the program is a full year membership for USA BMX allowing the rider to participate in any event at any track in the United States, four coached lessons with our experienced riders teaching the fundamentals of BMX racing, entry into five races, a custom BMX jersey with the riders name printed on the back, a Pineview Park BMX number plate for their bike and free rental of a BMX bike and helmet (if needed). The program is geared towards riders five years old and older who are proficient riding a pedal bike. For specific questions, contact Terry Schroeder at tschroeder39@gmail.com. Babysitting Clinic (Grades 5-8)
Special Interest
Has your child expressed interest in babysitting? At this safety class, they'll learn how to keep other children safe, handle difficult behaviors, change diapers, feed a baby, and so much more. They'll also learn the basics of first aid and talk about emergency situations. (Students will not be officially certified in CPR or First Aid with this class.) Bring to class: nut-free lunch and a water bottle. About the instructor: Andria Kelley is a Licensed Early Childhood teacher for Babysitting Clinic. Enter door 1.

Backyard Birdfeeders (Age 3 & Up with Adult)

NEW! We all love watching the birds when they come visit. In this class, we will talk about identifying common birds we see at our birdfeeders and why they eat what they eat. Battle Drones (Entering grades 3-9)
Special Interest
Battle Drones features an exciting combination of aerial acrobatics with an engineering design challenge that will teach students STEM concepts, teamwork, and how to skillfully fly a drone. In Battle Drones, teams of students will build robotic launchers designed to fling projectiles at their opponents’ drones. Students will be guided by experienced camp instructors in how to construct their launchers to maximize projectile speed and accuracy. The camp will culminate in an epic battle where students will need to pilot their drones to safety by dodging opponent projectiles while using their own launchers to take down opponent drones. The best drone pilots and launchers will emerge victorious! Enter door 1.

Beginner & Intermediate Distance Running & Apollo Cross Country Practice (Grades 5-12)
High School Summer Activities
This is a great way to learn about distance running and improve endurance in a fun, supportive environment. There will be opportunities for every level of runner, but no prior running experience is required. Practices will be in conjunction with the Apollo High School Cross Country Running team. On Mondays and Wednesdays, we will start at Apollo High School. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, we will start at Wilson Park. Meet at door 11 @ Apollo. Beginner Roller Skating Lessons at the Skatin' Place (Ages 5 & Up)

The St. Cloud Skatin' Place is offering roller skating lessons for ages 5 and up! Your child will have fun while learning how to skate. In this 4-week program we will go over the correct form, breaking, and skating forwards. Lessons are intended for first timers. Skate rental not included in fee.

Beginning Guitar at Spicer Music Studio
Special Interest
Does your child want to learn more about playing the guitar? They'll start with simplified chords and play songs after the first lesson. This class is a great place to start building a good foundation in guitar and challenges without overwhelming participants as they progress at their own speed. This Community Education offer includes three (3) thirty (30) minute sessions. Bring to class: your own guitar. Spicer Music Studio contact information will be given at time of registration to schedule lessons. This Community Education offer is limited to one use per participant.

BlueSox Youth Baseball Camp (Ages 7-12)

The Blue Sox Youth Baseball Camp is intended for children between the ages of 7-12, with the primary objective to introduce and familiarize them with the game of baseball and provide further practice for those who already have a passion for the sport and are looking to improve their skills. The Blue Sox Youth Baseball Camp will focus on teaching the basics of the game, including batting, fielding, throwing, and game strategies. We aim to help each child develop their personal skills, understanding of the game, and foster a love for baseball. The camp is designed to cater to the individual needs of each participant, allowing them to progress at their own pace. This program offers an excellent opportunity for children to learn and grow in a fun, safe, and engaging environment. About the instructor: Our experienced and passionate coaches are committed to creating a positive and constructive learning environment. Each coach is well-versed in the sport, capable of providing the necessary guidance and support, and keen on nurturing the potential in each child. The Blue Sox Youth Baseball Camp is more than just a camp; it aims to create a community that encourages children to engage in sports, learn teamwork, discipline, and resilience, all while having fun.
