  • Apollo Youth Football (Entering Grades K-4)

    Youth football for younger players is back! This touch/flag football league is a great way for your child to be introduced to the game of football! Games will be played on Saturday mornings at Apollo. Your child will learn basic football skills like passing, running, and catching from the Apollo coaches and varsity football players. Following the skills session, players will compete in a game each Saturday. Each child will practice valuable life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship in an enthusiastic learning environment. A t-shirt will be provided (please indicate Youth XS, S, M, L or Adult S, M, L, XL, XXL).   • Apollo Youth Football Camp (Entering Grades K-8)

    Hutt one, hutt two! We want to see you in Red, White, and Blue! Your child can make their way to the Apollo Eagle non-contact youth football camp and experience a fun opportunity to learn and develop the fundamentals of football. Your child will work with the Apollo coaches and varsity football players learning blocking, tackling, ball security, offensive and defensive line techniques, and how to run proper pass routes. There will be many opportunities for them to participate in competitions with prizes awarded. Players should dress according to the weather (t-shirts and shorts are suggested). Players do not need pads to attend this camp. Cleats are not required but can be worn.   • Apollo Youth Tackle Football League - (Entering Grades 5 & 6)

    The Apollo Youth Tackle Football League is back for another successful season! This is a padded, full-contact league offered to students attending Discovery, Kennedy, Madison, Westwood, Lincoln, and North Junior High. All players must be entering 5th or 6th grade for the 2024-2025 school year. Your child will learn the basic football skills of blocking and tackling. In addition, your child will practice valuable life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship in an enthusiastic learning environment. Practices will be held two times per week at Apollo High School in the evenings and games will be played on Saturday mornings. Bring to football league: shoes, mouth guard, and plenty of water. Pads and other equipment will be provided. Scholarships: All Northside players are encouraged to participate in football. There will be a coaching meeting/training, run by the Varsity coaching staff before the start of the season in early August for those interested.   • BMX New Rider League (Ages 5 & Up with Caregiver)

    NEW! Rider Race league is an introduction to the rewarding sport of BMX. Included in the program is a full year membership for USA BMX allowing the rider to participate in any event at any track in the United States, four coached lessons with our experienced riders teaching the fundamentals of BMX racing, entry into five races, a custom BMX jersey with the riders name printed on the back, a Pineview Park BMX number plate for their bike and free rental of a BMX bike and helmet (if needed).     The Blue Sox Youth Baseball Camp is intended for children between the ages of 7-12, with the primary objective to introduce and familiarize them with the game of baseball and provide further practice for those who already have a passion for the sport and are looking to improve their skills. The Blue Sox Youth Baseball Camp will focus on teaching the basics of the game, including batting, fielding, throwing, and game strategies. We aim to help each child develop their personal skills, understanding of the game, and foster a love for baseball. The camp is designed to cater to the individual needs of each participant, allowing them to progress at their own pace. This program offers an excellent opportunity for children to learn and grow in a fun, safe, and engaging environment.     DASH Sports Basketball Tykes camps provide players with an introductory experience to the great game of basketball through fun skill-based drills and mini-games. Players will be taught how to properly dribble, pass, shoot, and play defense in a fun and positive environment. Bring to class: water bottle & wear athletic clothing & shoes. Basketballs are provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group. Enter door 5.

    DASH Sports Summer Flag Football camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced daily, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with scrimmages/games the final day where players can showcase their skills. Athletes should wear sunscreen. Bring to class: water bottle, sunscreen, a peanut-free snack (spikes/cleats and mouthguards are optional). Flag belts and footballs are provided.

Camp ends with scrimmages and games the final day where athletes can showcase their skills. Bring to class: water bottle and a nut-free snack. Basketballs are provided.     DASH Sports MLS GO Summer Soccer Mini-Leagues provide players a well-rounded soccer experience covering a broad range of soccer skills (dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense) training and scrimmages and games. This camp consists of one day of skills training followed by 3 days of games (1 hour each). Athletes should wear sunscreen. Bring to class: water bottle and a nut-free snack (spikes and shin guards are optional). Soccer balls are provided. Each participant will receive an MLS GO uniform with registration consisting of a jersey, shorts, and socks.

    Is your child looking for a fun introduction to baseball? DASH Sports T-Ball Tykes camp introduces players to key elements of throwing, fielding/catching, batting, and base running. The final day of classes is ‘Game Day’ and athletes will showcase their skills in a game environment. Bring to class: water bottle and baseball glove. Baseballs and bats are provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3 year old group and recommended when needed for the 4-5 year old group.

    DASH Sports Summer Track & Field camps provide participants with practice in several areas including: sprinting, throwing (javelin and shot put), relay running, long jumping and distance running. Emphasis is on technique and proper form. All players will be timed/tested on the first and last day. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall track and field performance. Campers should wear sunscreen. Bring to class: water bottle, sunscreen, nut-free snack, and wear athletic clothing/shoes. Meet by the track.

Key volleyball skills such as passing, serving, and hitting will be taught and practiced throughout the week. Fun, volleyball skill specific games are also incorporated, giving players game type experience, and a better understanding of the game! The final day of camp ends with scrimmages and games for players to showcase their skills. Bring to class: water bottle and nut-free snack (knee pads optional). Volleyballs are provided.   • District 742 6th Grade Golf

    District 6th graders can join HS golf practice. Changes daily depending on weather. Practice information will be communicated by the coaches. There will be transportation to practices. Students will need a ride home.
  • District 742 Swim Camp (Grades K-8)

    District 742 Swim Camp is open to anyone who is kindergarten through 8th grade, and can comfortably and independently swim in the shallow end, at a minimum. We will work on skills needed for each participant, from basic swimming skills to competitive swimming skills. * For scholarships, contact Coach Shanley at evan.shanley@isd742.org Transportation: North Jr. High and Kennedy students can take the shuttle bus over to Apollo. Students in grades K-5 will need to find a ride over to Apollo. Students should be picked up promptly at the end of the class, grades K-2 at 4:45p and grades 3-8 at 5:15p. Parents will be required to pick up students at the end of the camp at Apollo, door 11. Students must provide their own suits and towels. Goggles and swim caps are highly recommended, but not required. **Note: Wednesday, May 1st is an early-release from school in 742. Families will need to provide their own transportation to Apollo**
  • District 742 Swim Club @ Apollo (Grades 3 & Up)

    Learn competitive swimming skills at Apollo. This Club is for kids 3rd grade and older. MUST be able to swim safely and independently in the deep end without assistance. Also must be able to swim 1 full length of the pool without assistance. Should know the basics of front and back crawl.
