NEW! Are you looking for a place to play Mah Jongg and connect with others who love the game? We're working to grow a local Mah Jongg community to offer additional open play opportunities. If you're interested, sign up to be added to our Mah Jongg email list. We'll keep you informed about upcoming open play times across our facilities and help connect you with others so you can coordinate when to attend. Whether you're a recent class participant or an experienced player looking for a group, we’d love to have you join! Mah Jongg open play will cost $4 a session or $60 for 20-punches.

Rock Steady Boxing for Seniors
Wellness
This boxing-for-fitness program is for seniors over 55 as well as individuals with Parkinson's Disease. You'll participate in non-contact boxing drills that help build motor skills, balance and coordination through a variety of different exercises including punching a heavy bag, hitting the focus mitts and some glove-to-glove contact. A variety of movements, stepping, bobbing and weaving help you build focus, be attentive and get in shape. Class instructors are certified through Rock Steady Boxing of Indianapolis and the Struthers Parkinson's Center of Park Nicollet. Boxing gloves will be provided along with walkers, canes and wheelchairs to assist those that need support when standing. Wear light shoes for standing on foam wrestling mats.

NEW! Join us at the St. Cloud State Planetarium, a dome-shaped theater, for a fascinating educational film paired with a live Current Night Sky presentation using the star ball projector. These programs are perfect for curious minds of all ages and are a fun and engaging way to explore science together. From Earth to the Universe (February 10) - Journey through the history surrounding our exploration of our Solar System and beyond and learn about the discoveries that humans have made over centuries of investigation beyond our home planet. Dinosaurs Alive (March 11) - Travel back in time to when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. Join paleontologists as they unlock the mysteries contained in fossils from millions of years ago and uncover evidence that dino descendants are still with us today. The Planetarium is located in the lower level of the Robert H. Wick Science Building on SCSU campus. Parking is available across the street in the Eastman Lot for a flat fee of $3.00 (cash, card, or Flowbird app accepted.) A map will be emailed to participants prior to the program date.

At this self-defense class, you'll learn about awareness and preventative avoidance measures to help lower your risk of assault. Other techniques covered include basic blocking, striking, releases, and vital target areas. This class will be part lecture and part hands-on. Wear comfortable clothing. Do you want to become a superhero change maker, be a confident and kind leader, and learn skills to become your best self? If so, then this fun, four-part class series is just right for you. Learn about self-advocacy, how to make positive change and live your best life. Tuition includes snacks, materials, and a pizza party on the final night. Self-Defense for Women, Mother's, & Daughters

NEW! Empower yourself and daughter as she prepares for new adventure heading to college, beginning a job, or navigating the world more independently. In this active and engaging workshop, mothers and daughters (ages 13+) will learn practical self-defense skills together. We'll focus on building confidence and awareness with simple self defense techniques for responding to against grabs, holds, and strikes. Wear loose, comfortable clothing.

Slow & Steady + Beginner Yoga with Shanti Yoga Center

NEW! This class is designed for anyone seeking a slower-paced yoga practice that supports continued learning and growth. We will move at a measured pace, giving students time to explore how their bodies respond to each posture and learn to connect movement with breath. Squeegee Dot Painting
Creative
At this trendy art class, you'll learn how to make abstract art by placing dots of paint in different patterns onto a canvas and using a squeegee to blend the color. Each participant will have the opportunity to practice first on multiple small canvas boards before making their own larger creation on a 16” x 20” canvas. Please wear appropriate clothes for painting.
