Outdoor Nature Class
ECFE for Parents and Children of Mixed Ages
For parents and children 18 months to 4 years. This 8-week class will be held in our Quarryview Woods. The outdoor environment is skillfuly staged for parent-child exploration and adventure with sensory rich play including time for parents to learn more about their child through observation. The class will be led by two ECFE family educators licensed in early childhood and parent education.

Painting Barn Quilt Workshop

Barn quilts tell stories of families, farms, historical events, and communities, and painting them has become a popular and rewarding artistic experience. Instructor Cynthia Buchholz will guide you through the process from start to finish to create a barn quilt that represents your creativity. With a weather proof 2' x 2' aluminum composite panel, over 60 high quality paints and all other materials provided, you will leave with your own masterpiece ready to hang and be admired at your home, outbuilding, or business. A $60.00 supplies fee is due at the beginning of class payable to the instructor and includes all materials needed. No experience is necessary. Enter door 1.

NEW! Are you looking for opportunities to enjoy pickleball with just your group? You can now reserve a Kennedy court for a private, two-hour session during the available listed times. One registration reserves the court for your group’s time. Maximum of two court reservations per registrant per day. A cancellation notice is required before 3:30pm on Thursday before the scheduled sessions. Available dates and times are subject to change. Enter door 1 at Kennedy. Pilates & Yoga combines gentle yoga movements and mindful breathing techniques to help release stress and tension, along with effective Pilates exercises designed to strengthen and support your body. This blended practice increases flexibility, build core stability, and improves energy while safely isolating muscles without adding stress to the joints. QuickStart Tennis is designed for young players and appropriately scales down all aspects of regulation tennis, including the balls, the court size and the scoring. Bring your own racket.

Want to drive RC Cars on a track? Then come join us and you can test your driving skills on a few different types of RC Cars. Participants can use RC Cars provided or use their own upon approval. Students in grades K-1 need to have an adult stay with them. Enter door 1.

Rage Painting With Branches

Inspired by viral art videos, this class taps into the wild, expressive side of art-making by using tree branches dipped in black paint to strike a canvas and create bold, abstract works. We'll start by gathering branches before heading inside to experiment on canvas boards. Then you'll unleash your creativity on a pre-primed 16” x 20” canvas to make a one-of-a-kind statement piece. Please wear appropriate clothes for painting.

Special Events
This class will teach participants about their workplace rights as well as ways to speak up and advocate for themselves. Participants will also learn about how to advocate for any access and accommodations in their workplace. Course fee includes all learning materials, snacks and beverages.

Rock Steady Boxing for Seniors

This boxing-for-fitness program is for seniors over 55 as well as individuals with Parkinson's Disease. You'll participate in non-contact boxing drills that help build motor skills, balance and coordination through a variety of different exercises including punching a heavy bag, hitting the focus mitts and some glove-to-glove contact. A variety of movements, stepping, bobbing and weaving help you build focus, be attentive and get in shape. Class instructors are certified through Rock Steady Boxing of Indianapolis and the Struthers Parkinson's Center of Park Nicollet. Boxing gloves will be provided along with walkers, canes and wheelchairs to assist those that need support when standing. Wear light shoes for standing on foam wrestling mats.

SCSU Planetarium Show

NEW! Join us at the St. Cloud State Planetarium, a dome-shaped theater, for a fascinating educational film paired with a live Current Night Sky presentation using the star ball projector. These programs are perfect for curious minds of all ages and are a fun and engaging way to explore science together. From Earth to the Universe (February 10th, February 12th, and April 8th) - Journey through the history surrounding our exploration of our Solar System and beyond and learn about the discoveries that humans have made over centuries of investigation beyond our home planet. Dinosaurs Alive (March 11th, March 17th, and April 16th) - Travel back in time to when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. Join paleontologists as they unlock the mysteries contained in fossils from millions of years ago and uncover evidence that dino descendants are still with us today. The Planetarium is located in the lower level of the Robert H. Wick Science Building on SCSU campus. Parking is available across the street in the Eastman Lot for a flat fee of $3.00 (cash, card, or Flowbird app accepted.) A map will be emailed to participants prior to the program date.
