Adult & Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid (Ages 11+)
Health & Fitness
The American Heart Association: Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid program helps you recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, automated external defibrillator (AED), breathing and first aid emergencies in adults, children and infants. This program will teach you the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed. Upon successful completion, you'll receive an American Heart Association: Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid certification card that is valid for two years. The certification will be emailed within a few days after completion. This class is suitable for participants as young as 11 years of age that have the strength to compress a CPR manikin two inches. Apollo Youth Swim Camp (Grades K-6)

Apollo Swim Camp is open to anyone who is kindergarten through 6th grade, and can comfortably and independently swim in the shallow end, at a minimum. We will work on skills needed for each participant, from basic swimming skills to competitive swimming skills. * For scholarships, contact Coach Shanley at evan.shanley@isd742.org Transportation: Activity bus from North to Apollo (for 6th graders only). No activity bus from Kennedy (no supervision of participants available). Parents will be required to pick up students at the end of the camp at Apollo, door 11. Students must provide their own suits and towels. Goggles and swim caps are highly recommended, but not required.

Boxing & Kickboxing for Youth (Ages 7-15)
Health & Fitness
Your child will learn two skills at once with fitness kickboxing & boxing combined. This one-hour class is open to boys and girls of all skill levels from recreational, fitness, self-defense, as well as competitive. Participants will learn basic boxing/striking skills, proper kicking techniques, conditioning drills, and how to defend themselves. The skills taught can serve as a base for hand-eye coordination, footwork, and focus to use in other sports.

Code Championship Tournament Series: Virtual Computer Coding Competition (Grades 3-9)
Special Interest
Your child will learn how to build a computer bot to compete against other coders. Whether new or experienced, this is the perfect way for your child to explore competitive coding. The Code Championship Series is four online tournaments hosted on Google Meet. If you have a modern browser, no download is required. Players must be able to navigate the internet. The Google Meet link will be emailed two days before the tournament.

Cookie Decorating Class (Grades K-6)

Let your creativity bloom in this sweet springtime workshop designed just for young bakers! In Pastel Petals Cookie Decorating, kids will learn the basics of cookie design using soft pastel colors, floral themes, and fun icing techniques. From pretty petals to adding sparkly details, each participant will decorate their own set of sugar cookies to take home and share (or keep all to themselves—we won’t tell!). This hands-on class encourages artistic expression, builds kitchen confidence, and celebrates the joy of spring through sugar and smiles. All supplies are provided—just bring your imagination and a love for cookies! Bring to class: (optional) container. Enter door 1.

DASH Flag Football Camp (Ages 7-11)

DASH Sports flag football camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced each class, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with a scrimmage the final day where players can showcase their skills. Footballs and other equipment are provided. Athletes should dress for the weather. Bring to class: a water bottle (spikes/cleats, and mouthguards are optional). Meet at the outdoor fields.

Dim Sum Dumpling Dynasty: Pot Stickers with Homemade Wrappers,, Filling & Dipping Sauce (Adult or Youth with Adult Supervision)

Dim Sum is a joyful Chinese dining tradition of sharing a variety of small flavorful bites and connection with family and friends. One of the most beloved Dim Sum Dishes is Pot Stickers! You will learn the magic of building a full-flavored filling (choose base of pork or chicken), roll out tender homemade wrappers, assemble and cook the pot stickers to perfection with a crispy bottom and tender juicy filling. A bright flavorful sauce will complete the experience. The experience will possibly make store bought pot stickers a thing of the past! Tuition includes an electronic packet of recipes. Participants will receive Zoom instructions via email prior to class. More info will be provided in the ingredient list packet. NOTE: One registration fee for this virtual class can include immediate family members living in the same home only.

Everything BUT the Brush: Splatter Painting with Emotion in Motion (Ages 6 & Up)

At this crafty class, your child will make their own large (16x20) canvas. We'll put on an apron and goggles and listen to fun music while we splatter the canvas full of paint, glitter, and confetti. There will be special lighting effects in the paint room for a completely immersive experience. Dress for a mess!

Focaccia, Stromboli, & Calzones! OH MY! (Adult or Youth with Adult Supervision)

What makes a Focaccia a Focaccia, a Stromboli a Stromboli, and a Calzone a Calzone? Discover the delicious answers to these questions as we explore the world of unique rolled & stuffed pizzas, marvelous focaccia bread, and an out-of-this-world pizza sauce. Using two different types of homemade dough you’ll learn how to create these Italian –inspired favorites personalizing each creation with your favorite toppings & fillings. Participants will receive Zoom instructions via email prior to class. Equipment Needs: A 9x13 non-stick baking pan or a larger sheet pan will be needed for the focaccia bread. Additional sheet pans will be needed for the Stromboli and the Calzones. A stand mixer is highly recommended in order to be able to make both doughs during the class. If children are participating, adult supervision is required. More info will be provided in the ingredient list packet provided 5 days prior to the class.. Note: One registration fee for this on-line virtual interactive class can include immediate family members living full-time in the same home ONLY.

Get Outdoors, MN: Youth Park Play: Full-Day Experiences (Ages 4-12)

Parents, enjoy a FULL day to yourselves while your child has fun in the great outdoors! Our licensed staff will facilitate learning experiences using the play-based learning approach. Park Play camps are committed to offering the balance of self-directed and self-driven learning through inquiry, play, and freedoms to design & create. Campers can expect to engage in healthy risk-taking, “soft”/”essential”/”life” skills (i.e. the interpersonal attributes of communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creation). Granite City Jump Community Education Nights (Ages 4-10)

Bring your child out to Granite City Jump for a bouncy good time. They’ll spend time jumping in a variety of bouncy houses and socializing with other kids. This is a great way to expend energy and get a good workout. Adults must accompany children but will not participate There will be separate times allotted for ages 4-6 and 7-10, please make sure you are registering for the correct class based on age. Guitar, Bass Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, or Ukulele-Beginner, Intermediate or Beyond (Ages 6-17)

Is your child interested in music? Professional virtual instruction is being offered by Steve Cekalla's Guitar and Music School. This class offers a unique and fun approach for starters, but with the ability to teach styles, theory, and techniques to those with instrument experience. A stable internet connection, some internet savvy (ex. ability to screenshot/print screen), and access to a working printer is helpful. Participants should have their own instrument, but a limited amount of guitars are available. Please check before registering for availability. This Community Education package is for three virtual 30-minute group lessons. Only one lesson package per student. Your child's sessions will be scheduled in the month you registered for. Contact information will be given at the time of registration.

Horse Day Camp (Ages 6-15)

Kids will learn what it's like to have a horse for a day! Campers get to ride in the indoor and/or outdoor arenas for 40min-50min (no trails), practice how to steer, stop, turn, and walk on their own. They also might make horse treats, do a craft, and play games. And don't forget the time to meet and care for the horses, which is a big part of ownership! Campers are broken into smaller groups based on similar riding experience and age, which is perfect for both new and more experienced riders! Camps are held rain or shine. Proper attire includes sneakers or boots (closed toe with a heel), long pants and layers, depending on weather. ASTM/SEI certified helmets provided and required to be worn. Signed waiver forms are required and the link will be emailed to participants once they have registered for the camp. Bring to class: sunscreen, bug spray, water bottle, nut-free snack and lunch. Camp is located in Anoka, MN. PARENT Drop-off is at 9am and PARENT pickup is 3pm. Sorry we do not allow parents to stay for the day.

Kid Martial Arts (Ages 5-9)

This introductory martial arts class teaches young students focus, balance, coordination, and respect through the traditional Korean art of Soo Bahk Do. Students learn basic stances, kicks, blocks, and self-control in a positive, structured, and fun environment. The class emphasizes teamwork, confidence-building, and following directions while developing early physical and social skills. No prior experience required. Loose clothing is recommended (no shoes or socks should be worn). This Community Education session includes one class per participant.
