This is an ECFE class for families who want to learn how to help their children succeed in the United States. It is an opportunity for co-learning between the families and teachers by sharing experiences. This semester will focus on families with an African background. Parents will learn about: child development, dual language development, helping children to be ready for school, discipline, community resources and many other parenting activities. Children's activities include: Opening circle, story, music, snack, gym and play time, puzzles, blocks, books, playdough, painting and other learning activities. "Parenting Across Cultures" Winter session will be Multicultural and Spring session will be for families with a Latino or Hispanic backround.
