Flow + Restore Yoga
NEW! You'll enjoy a flow class with a moderate pace and intensity with a focus on connecting breath with movement. The teachers prepare a sequence of postures that include a mix of stability, balance and mobility, linked with functional transitions and breath. There will be at least 10 minutes dedicated to meditation time (not including savasana), using various meditation techniques such as guided, visualization, or silent seated meditation with a slow, flowing sequence in the ambience of candlelight. Open to all levels of experience. Bring to class: yoga mat and water.

Adult & Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid
Wellness
The American Heart Association: Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid program helps you recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, automated external defibrillator (AED), breathing and first aid emergencies in adults, children and infants. This program will teach you the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed. Upon successful completion, you'll receive an American Heart Association: Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid certification card that is valid for two years. Enter door 1.

Adult Group Golf Lessons

Adult lessons are a perfect balance for the beginner golfer and those who want to review the basics or brush up on their game. You will learn the proper grips, stance, club selection, chipping, putting, full swing, common rules and course etiquette. You will enjoy lessons with a variety of demonstrations, handouts, practice time, skill challenges and course play time. Pre-registration is required. Bring to class: your own clubs. Adult Water/Swim Lesson (Age 18 & Up)

These small group lessons are designed to give any participant the semi-individualized attention necessary in order to improve or master water comfort or swimming skills. Together, the instructor and participants determine the goals for the session and the curriculum is customized in order to meet those goals. Women's session open to women only. Basic Sewing: Pillowcase

NEW! At this beginner class, you'll learn the basics of sewing by creating a standard size pillowcase with cuff. You'll also learn how to use a sewing machine, iron, cutting tools and other useful tools. Bring to class: your own sewing machine (optional) or one can be provided. NOTE: You have the option to purchase the following materials or have them provided for a supply fee of $25.00 (bring to class via cash or check payable to Instructor Becky Jackson): ¾ yard main fabric. ¼ yard cuff fabric, (optional) 2" strip for accent stripe, spool of sewing tread to match main fabric. Beginner Kung Fu

Explore the ancient art of Kung Fu, practiced as a form of exercise to improve mental concentration, stress relief, mobility, flexibility, and coordination. Students will start with basic Kung Fu training and progress to self-defense techniques such as striking, throwing, grappling, and take-down. Students will also learn prescribed routines at each technical level. About the Instructor: Master Dee Ma is a graduate of Beijing University of Sports specializing in Chinese Martial Arts. She had nine years of intensive martial arts training before she went to the college. She has been teaching Martial Arts /Tai Chi since 1985. She was a certified national Kung Fu first class referee in China.

Beginning Chinese Language For Parents of Immersion Kindergarten Students
Life

Beginning Jiu Jitsu

Learn more about the basics of Jiu-Jitsu including the art of grappling, ground wrestling, and submitting your opponent with the skills of MMA. This is a total body workout that will help you become a stronger, safer, and more self confident person. Information about competing will given by St. Cloud Boxing & Wrestling Club upon request. Saturday's class will be a combination of boxing and jiu jitsu.

Boxing for Fitness (Men & Women)

Come try out boxing! These sessions are open to both men and women whether competing or just wanting to learn the basic fundamentals of boxing. Headgear and gloves are provided to practice. You will need to purchase a mouth guard and hand wraps. If you are interested in competing, information will be available for participants at class. Saturday's class will be a combination of boxing and jiu jitsu.

Canoeing Basics

This beginner session offers basic instruction and experience to help participants learn how to canoe. Class will take place at the calm and scenic waters of Warner Lake that is perfect for beginners. You can sign up with a partner or be paired with another paddler. All participants must sign a waiver and children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 18 need waiver signed by parent. No lifeguard will be present. All equipment will be supplied by Clear Waters Outfitting. Meet at Warner Lake boat launch.

NEW! Make a beautiful fairy house for your garden or anywhere that could use a whimsical touch. The first session is for creating your sculpture while the second session is for decorating and glazing. Items will be fired after the final class and available for pickup at the Community Ed office. In this class you will receive instruction on how to recognize and avoid collisions, emergency driving situations, new vehicle technology, common driver distractions as well as traffic laws so you can help promote safe driving for you and others. Fencing is a fun and intense sport that teaches quick reactions, excellent coordination and self-discipline. Whether you are a beginner or have taken this class before, you will learn simple and effective self-protection techniques with the sword including attacking and defense among other tactics. All equipment is provided (mask, jacket, glove and weapon). Wear comfortable clothing such as long sweat pants and running shoes. Enter door 1.

Join Shanti Yoga Center teachers for a flow style class that combines rhythmic movements and breath with simple and accessible sequences that will help you improve your flexibility, relieve physical tension, and reduce stress. All levels of students are encouraged to practice to their own ability. You’ll learn foundational principles and be encouraged to explore depth with variations that meet you where you are.
