This winter, Young Rembrandts artists are in for a treat with a lineup of ALL NEW drawing lessons. From a vibrant pop art dog to fascinating art history and a powerful unicorn, there's so much to learn and love. We prioritize proper technique and excellent color selection in every lesson. Your child will not only enhance their skills but also have a blast personalizing cool drawings like soccer players, and robots. Your child can join us as we create each session! Sessions include chalk & pastel art, loom band bracelets, Perler (melt) beads, Tempera Stick "painting" on canvas, and Tempera Paint dot art on canvas. Tuition includes supplies. Enter door 1.

Beads have a history with the Native American people. From the materials they used to how the beads are incorporated in their everyday lives, they tell a story. Learn the art of stitching seed beads (Manido-min-esag) to create a rope style key chain.

NEW! In this paint-at-home activity, participants will paint an artist-created image of their own pet! Participants will submit a photo of a beloved pet and the Gray Duck artists will get to work creating your one-of-a-kind pet paint-by-number. This piece will then be sent with all supplies needed to complete your piece on your own time. Specific instructions and email address to submit image will be provided after registration is completed.

Does your child like to express their creativity? At this fun class, they’ll join The Potspot to paint a piece of beautiful pottery. We'll have a selection of themed figurines for participants to choose from. Tuition includes supplies. The PotSpot will fire the items and return them to the school in about two weeks.

NEW! Whether your child is new to clay or has some previous experience, they’ll improve their clay skills with art teacher Melanie Schatz-Pattay. Beginners will start with the basics of throwing cups, bowls, and plates. Experienced potters can expand on their skills with larger pieces, adding handles, lids, and manipulating pieces after throwing. Five sessions focus on throwing, and the final session is reserved for painting pieces in a watercolor style in a 3-D and 2-D experience! Items will be fired after the final class and available for pickup at the Community Education office. Pick up date/time will be communicated with participants. Enter door 30.

NEW! Big fruit bowls and ittle bitty bowls! Participants will use a potter’s wheel and hand building for Saturday afternoons, messy chill-out. Especially designed for kids who like small groups and quiet spaces.

Make this spring a memorable one for your child. Students enrolled in a Young Rembrandts Cartoon Club will learn the essential skills they need to illustrate exciting cartoon imagery that is filled with dynamic characters and expressive personalities. Our students will create fully realized cartoon characters from fun subjects like robots, hilarious dogs, and funny insects. Drawings of comical cars will spark our students’ imaginations. They will also develop their visual story telling skills as they draw sequential images. All this and more await our students.
