Game-ified Piano Lessons at Spicer Music Studio
Special Interest
Your young musician can play music with an app designed to give them scores on note and rhythm accuracy. This teaching method uses pianos hooked up to an app and feels like a game that students love to play that has educational value and helps students progress quickly. This Community Education offer is three (3) thirty (30) minute sessions. Spicer Music Studio contact information will be given at time of registration to schedule lessons. This Community Education offer is limited to one use per participant.

Gentle Yoga
Wellness
Gentle Yoga is for beginners or those wanting a gentle yoga class. It incorporates a gentle flow that will warm up the body and includes stretching, balancing, breathing work, strength building, and concludes with relaxation. The class is suitable for all adults and modifications will be made as appropriate. Bring to class: yoga mat. Blanket, yoga blocks, and strap are optional. Enter door 1.

Guitar, Bass Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, or Ukulele-Beginner, Intermediate or Beyond (Ages 6-17)
Special Interest
Is your child interested in music? Professional virtual instruction is being offered by Steve Cekalla's Guitar and Music School. This class offers a unique and fun approach for starters, but with the ability to teach styles, theory, and techniques to those with instrument experience. A stable internet connection, some internet savvy (ex. ability to screenshot/print screen), and access to a working printer is helpful. Participants should have their own instrument, but a limited amount of guitars are available. Please check before registering for availability. This Community Education package is for three virtual 30-minute group lessons. Only one lesson package per student. Your child's sessions will be scheduled in the month you registered for. Contact information will be given at the time of registration.

Explore the Outdoors! Empower your child to embark on their unique learning journey through exploration, adventure, creation, design, and engineering this summer at HIKEhoppers’ Park Play Week-long Camp. This camp includes daily exploratory learning and team-building activities, art creations, building & construction projects, and guided team hikes. Registration is limited as hand tools will be used under the direct supervision of adults.

Harmony on Water: Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga & Sound Bath

Join us for a unique experience that combines stand-up paddle board yoga with the soothing vibrations of a sound bath. Class will begin with a brief introduction to paddle boarding techniques and safety along with a gentle yoga warm-up before finally experiencing a meditative sound bath with crystal singing bowls, chimes, and drums, while you float peacefully on your SUP board. NOTE: All participants must sign a waiver and be over 16 years of age. Participants under 18 wlll need a parent or guardian to sign the waiver. No lifeguard will be present.

Horse 3-Day Camp (Ages 6-17)

Your child will experience a mini-week long camp. Campers will get to experience everyday life at a barn including activities such as daily riding, learning how to braid manes and tails with ribbon, grooming and caring for the horses (including bathing) and feeding them at the end of the day. This is a great time for campers to spend time outdoors and build lasting friendships with fellow horse lovers in a structured and positive environment. Campers are broken into smaller groups of similar riding experience, which is perfect for both the new and more experienced riders. Riding takes about 1 hour per day in an arena with no trails and consists of learning how to steer, stop, turn, and walk/trot on their own. Campers will spend time on the ground with horses throughout the rest of the day. Camps are held rain or shine. There is an outdoor and indoor arena. Proper attire includes sneakers or boots (closed toe with a heel), long pants and layers, depending on weather. ASTM/SEI certified helmets provided and required to be worn. Signed waiver forms are required and the link will be emailed to participants once they have registered for the camp. Bring to class: sunscreen, bug spray, water bottle, nut-free snack and lunch. Camp is located in Anoka, MN.

At the end of the week, parents and family are invited to a performance to see what their camper has been learning! Riding takes up about 1 hour per day in an arena with no trails and consists of learning how to steer, stop, turn, and walk/trot on their own. Campers will spend time on the ground with horses throughout the rest of the day. Proper attire is required including sneakers or boots (closed toe with a heel) and long pants and layers, depending on weather. ASTM/SEI certified helmets are required for all participants and will be provided. Signed waiver forms are required and will be sent to participants once they have registered for the camp. Bring to class: bug spray, sunscreen, water bottle, nut-free snack and lunch daily. Camp is located in Anoka, MN. NOTE: Drop-off is at 9 a.m. and pickup is 3 p.m. each day Monday through Friday (parents are not permitted to stay for the day). A “show” for the parents will be held on Fridays of weeklong camps at 1:30 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to take pictures, watch your child ride, and meet the horse they worked with during the week!

It's time to get out on the court and improve your tennis game! You'll develop a better understanding of serving, volleys, backhand and forehand shots while getting some exercise outdoors. Easy-to-hit balls and equipment will be used to make the game simple to learn as needed. This course is meant for adults with some basic tennis experience. Bring to class: a racket. If you do not have a tennis racquet, a select number of racquets will be available.

Introduction to BMX Racing: Community Education Nights (Ages 5-12 with Caregiver)

Community Education nights are great opportunities for anyone who’s never tried BMX the chance to get on a bike and try it out for FREE! Our certified and experienced coaches can help your riders get comfortable with the sport and learn some of the fundamentals necessary to gain confidence on the track. Introduction to Kayaking - Full Day

If you are new to Kayaking or want to improve your skills, this 6-hour beginner course offers professional kayaking instruction to help participants develop new skills and feel confident on the water. Class will begin at Clear Waters Outfitting before moving to the calm and scenic Warner Lake that is perfect for beginners. Be prepared to get in the water. All participants must sign a waiver and children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 18 need waiver signed by parent. No lifeguard will be present. All equipment will be supplied by Clear Waters Outfitting.

Introduction to Shoulder & Foot Massage

This hands-on class provides the opportunity for partners or close friends to learn basic techniques and experience some of the benefits of massage. Physician’s approval is requested if you have an upper back or neck injury. As this class involves learning massage techniques through hands-on practice, participants must sign up with a close friend or partner. Both participants must be registered. Junior Golf Clinic - Intro to Golf (Ages 5-13)

Has your child expressed an interest in golf? This clinic will allow them to expand and improve that interest. Day one: grip & stance, putting, golf etiquette, chipping. Day two: putting and chipping review, club selection, full swing technique and skill challenges. Day three: review, skill challenges, basic rules and course play time. Day four: course play time. All skills are taught by demonstration, repetition and skill challenges. This clinic is a simple introduction to the skills of golf. Your child’s own equipment is suggested, but some clubs can be provided with prior notice. Clubs cannot be shared. You’ll have the opportunity to showcase your singing skills at this interactive class. A karaoke machine will be set up just for your moment in the spotlight.
