Welcome to wrestling - the oldest sport in the world! Wrestling is a form of exercise that helps develop strength, endurance, balance, coordination, motor planning and confidence. We are committed to teaching the sport of wrestling to all boys and girls in the St. Cloud area. Enter door 2 (Tech Activities Door).**November 20th will be information, singlet handout, and registration night. Please bring a check for uniform deposit. Adult & Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid

The American Heart Association: Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid program helps you recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, automated external defibrillator (AED), breathing and first aid emergencies in adults, children and infants. This program will teach you the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed. Upon successful completion, you'll receive an American Heart Association: Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid certification card that is valid for two years. Enter door 1.

Beginner Kung Fu

Kung Fu is the traditional Chinese martial arts, practiced as a form of exercise to improve mental concentration, stress relief, mobility, flexibility, and coordination. Students will start with basic Kung Fu training and progress to self-defense techniques such as striking, throwing, grappling, and take-down. Students will also learn prescribed routines at each technical level. Master Dee Ma is a graduate of Beijing University of Sports specializing in Chinese Martial Arts. She had nine years of intensive martial arts training before she went to the college. She has been teaching Martial Arts /Tai Chi since 1985. She was a certified national Kung Fu first class referee in China.

Beginning Jiu Jitsu

Learn more about the basics of Jiu-Jitsu including the art of grappling, ground wrestling, and submitting your opponent with the skills of MMA. This is a total body workout that will help you become a stronger, safer, and more self confident person. Information about competing will given by St. Cloud Boxing & Wrestling Club upon request. Saturday's class will be a combination of boxing and jiu jitsu.

Being Balanced & Centered: Fall Prevention Techniques

NEW! Do you fear stumbling, tripping, slipping and falling? Join us for an introduction to understanding how your body should move. You'll learn body mechanics that will enhance your overall strength and centeredness used for everyday actions such as sitting down, getting up and walking. With this new awareness of body alignment and structure, you can repeat these motions throughout your day. Wear loose comfortable clothing. We will practice barefoot or with socks that grip on a hardwood floor.

Cross-Country Skiing for Adults: Classic Technique

Whether you have no cross-country skiing experience or would consider yourself a confident recreational skier, this class is your chance to expand your skills. You'll learn basic techniques of classic skiing and talk about clothing, nutrition, ski waxing and equipment. Participants will need to attend one of two orientation dates on January 22nd or 23rd before hitting the trails on February 3rd and 10th. Depending on snow conditions, the ski lessons will meet at Riverside Park, Greystone Trails or St. John’s University. Class is snow and weather dependent. Ski equipment is not included but can be rented at Fitzharris or Revolution Cycle & Sport for $10/day if you mention you are Community Education class participant. Enter Door 1.

Fencing: Beginner and Beyond

Fencing is a fun and intense sport that teaches quick reactions, excellent coordination and self-discipline. Whether you are a beginner or have taken this class before, you will learn simple and effective self-protection techniques with the sword including attacking and defense among other tactics. All equipment is provided (mask, jacket, glove and weapon). Wear comfortable clothing such as long sweat pants and running shoes. Enter door 1.

Pickleball Lessons: Beginner One or Two

Come experience the fastest growing sport in the country! Beginner One sessions will teach players the rules, proper form and basic strategies of the game while the Beginner Two sessions will help participants strengthen core skills, improve game knowledge and shot selection. Please bring paddle or one will be provided. Beginner One players (1.0-2.0) are new to pickleball and have a minimal understanding of the game and no prior experience. Beginner Two players (2.5-3.5) have a basic understanding of the rules and can maintain a short rally. About the Instructor: Nicole Idalski grew up playing tennis at the high school, collegiate and USTA levels. Since converting to pickleball, she has won in women's and mixed doubles at the 4.0, 4.5 and Senior Pro levels and teaches pickleball lessons to all ages and skill levels.
