Explore the ancient art of Kung Fu, practiced as a form of exercise to improve mental concentration, stress relief, mobility, flexibility, and coordination. Students will start with basic Kung Fu training and progress to self-defense techniques such as striking, throwing, grappling, and take-down. Students will also learn prescribed routines at each technical level. About the Instructor: Master Dee Ma is a graduate of Beijing University of Sports specializing in Chinese Martial Arts. She had nine years of intensive martial arts training before she went to the college. She has been teaching Martial Arts /Tai Chi since 1985. She was a certified national Kung Fu first class referee in China.

Do you fear stumbling, tripping, slipping and falling? Join us for an introduction to understanding how your body should move. You'll learn body mechanics that will enhance your overall strength and centeredness used for everyday actions such as sitting down, getting up and walking. With this new awareness of body alignment and structure, you can repeat these motions throughout your day. Wear loose comfortable clothing. We will practice barefoot or with socks that grip on a hardwood floor.

You'll enjoy an evening of fun in this class combining bowling with bingo. At the beginning of each game, you'll receive a bingo card marked with bowling terms. As you bowl, items are crossed off the card. A winning bingo card receives a prize. Tuition includes two games of bowling, shoes, and prizes.

These sessions are open to both men and women whether competing or just wanting to learn the basic fundamentals of boxing. Headgear and gloves are provided to practice. You will need to purchase a mouth guard and hand wraps. If you are interested in competing, information will be available for participants at class.

Code Championship Tournament Series: Virtual Computer Coding Competition (Grades 3-9)
Special Interest
Your child will build a computer bot to play head-to-head against other coders. Whether this is their first Code Championship event, or if you've been competing for years, this is the perfect way to explore the competitive coding world of Code Championship. No previous coding experience necessary. The Code Championship Series is a series of four tournaments in four weeks (it's ok to miss one or two). These tournaments will be hosted online using Google Meet and the Code Championship website. If you have a modern browser like Chrome or Firefox, no additional download is required. Participants should be able to navigate the internet (basic typing and mouse control). The link to the Google Meet event will be emailed two days before the tournament.

NEW! Join Chef Tess as she guides you through the step-by-step process of creating a copycat version of fast food restaurant-style pizza, pizza sauce, and chicken carbonara. Pizzas can be personalized with your toppings of choice. You'll make the dough, sauce, and chicken carbonara from scratch. Tuition includes an electronic packet of recipes. Participants will receive Zoom instructions and ingredient list via email prior to class. NOTE: One registration fee for this virtual class can include immediate family members living in the same home only. OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT: Pizza stone, stand mixer. Creating Crop Art (For the State Fair or Just for Fun)

Seed art is a long-time tradition at the Minnesota State Fair. Using assorted crop seeds, artists glue them to boards and other surfaces to make beautiful and creative works of art. This class will provide an introduction to crop art including a brief history, styles, specific techniques for making a seed art design, and how to enter your work in the State Fair. Participants will have an opportunity to make a work of their own to bring home. Tuition includes supplies. About the Instructors: Amy and Steve Saupe are a father/daughter seed art team who have won multiple blue ribbons for their seed art entries at the Minnesota State Fair. Enter door 1.
