For parents and children 3 years to kindergarten entry age. Classes include parent-child playtime, time for parents to observe their young children playing in an early childhood learning center, and time to discuss parenting concerns with other parents and a teacher. Child guidance and parent support are provided by teachers licensed in early childhood and parent education. This class will separate to a parent education room for parent discussion.

Cake pops are made for kids, and now your child can make their own! Participants will learn how to combine just the right amount of cake crumbs and buttercream icing to create delicious cake pops in fun, spring designs and colors. Your child will learn how to read a recipe and follow directions, how to melt candy melts, and about kitchen safety. Your child will even bring home some beautifully decorated cake pops to share.

Just For Fun
You'll join our Project Challenge choir and perform favorite songs in front of a live audience. There will be four evening practices and a recital the final evening. Family and friends are invited to watch the performance on concert night at no cost. Tuition includes refreshments on the final night. Bring to class: sheet music or a CD if you would like to sing a solo. Class limit: 50. Enter door 7.

St. Cloud State University Hockey Game
Special Events
Enjoy an evening of fun and excitement watching the St. Cloud State University men’s Husky hockey team play. Meet inside the ticket doors located :at the south end of the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center at SCSU. Please make arrangements to be picked up at the same location when the game concludes. Tuition includes admission. REGISTRATION ENDS: February 12th. NOTE: Dial-a-ride will not be available for pickup after the game.

Super Mario Game Coding (Grades 3-7)
Special Interest
In this class, we introduce students’ programming concepts using Scratch. Scratch is a drag-and-drop creative coding platform developed by MIT. Students will be instructed to make a Mario Kart - style game. Then pick custom characters, and track, to customize their games. Additional Technical Requirement: Scratch and scratch account- Instructions will be emailed PC Needed (Windows or MacBook), will not work on Chromebook, tablets, or phones.

It’s springtime and that can only mean one thing: SPRINGTIME FUN WITH YOUNG REMBRANDTS! If your child enjoys the outdoors, they will love the upcoming Hummingbird lesson filled with color and whimsy. We’ll be drawing all season creating motorcycles, boats and even the butterfly life cycle! Artists will be challenged as they draw and shade a realistic portrait of famous composer Beethoven using color pencils.

Participants become comfortable in the water learning basic skills. Safety topics include pool rules, recognizing lifeguard, safe water entry, being able to recall name and phone number, helping yourself in an emergency and proper use of a lifejacket. The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy: An In Depth Analysis
Life
With this year marking the 60th anniversary of the tragic assassination of President John F. Kennedy, this class examines the discrepancies between the Warren Commission (that investigated the assassination for ten months and published their findings in September 1964) along with the conclusions reached by the United States House of Representatives that investigated the assassination for thirty-one months and published their report in March 1979. You'll develop broader perspective regarding many of the controversies surrounding the assassination of President Kennedy with time for discussion and questions at the end of each class. Enter door 1 at Quarryview and enter door 19 at Apollo across from the tennis courts. About the instructor: David Yorks is a retired Minnesota small business owner with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in American History. He has a fifty-five-year interest in the Kennedy presidency and has attended national conferences regarding the assassination. He has met with witnesses of the assassination and doctors who attended the President on 11/22/63.
