NEW! Discover the fascinating game of Mahjong, a tile-based game with rich history dating back to ancient China. In this beginner-friendly class, you will learn the history and fundamentals of the game, including an overview of the tiles, how to read and understand the NMJL card, and the rules of play. Participants who are 55+ who complete this course get a 10% discount in your auto insurance premiums. Taught as a presentation from a certified instructor, you’ll discuss challenges drivers face, new road designs, vehicle technology, and updates on current laws. There are no written or behind the wheel tests and a certificate of completion will be provided at the end of class. Enter door 1 at Quarryview Education Center.

Adult & Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid

The American Heart Association: Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid program helps you recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, automated external defibrillator (AED), breathing and first aid emergencies in adults, children and infants. This program will teach you the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed. Upon successful completion, you'll receive an American Heart Association: Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid certification card that is valid for two years. The certification will be emailed within a few days after completion. Enter door 1.

Adult lessons are a perfect balance for the beginner golfer and those who want to review the basics and brush up on their game. You will learn the proper grips, stance, club selection, chipping, putting, full swing, common rules and course etiquette. You will enjoy lessons with a variety of demonstrations, handouts, practice time, skill challenges and course play time. Bring to class: your own clubs. Please notify Angushire Golf Club in advance if you do not have clubs as a select amount of clubs may be available.

NEW! At this fun online foodie class, you'll learn how to pinch, squeeze, and pleat delicious and easy-to-make dumplings from home. You'll learn how to make the dumpling wrappers and chicken vegetable filling from scratch before folding and cooking the dumplings into potstickers paired with a delicious sauce. Participants receive a list of ingredients 5 days prior to class to allow enough time for shopping and preparation.

Canoeing Basics

This beginner session offers basic instruction and experience to help participants learn how to canoe. Class will take place at the calm and scenic waters of Warner Lake that is perfect for beginners. You can sign up with a partner or be paired with another paddler. All participants must sign a waiver and children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 18 need waiver signed by parent. No lifeguard will be present. All equipment will be supplied by Clear Waters Outfitting. Meet at Warner Lake boat launch.

NEW! Decorate your house, plants, or garden, with a whimsical character of your creation. The first three sessions will be used to create your ceramic character while the final session is for decorating and glazing. Harmony on Water: Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga & Sound Bath

Join us for a unique experience that combines stand-up paddle board yoga with the soothing vibrations of a sound bath. Class will begin with a brief introduction to paddle boarding techniques and safety along with a gentle yoga warm-up before finally experiencing a meditative sound bath with crystal singing bowls, chimes, and drums, while you float peacefully on your SUP board. It's time to get out on the court and improve your tennis game! You'll develop a better understanding of serving, volleys, backhand and forehand shots while getting some exercise outdoors. Easy-to-hit balls and equipment will be used to make the game simple to learn as needed. This course is meant for adults with some basic tennis experience. Bring to class: a racket. If you do not have a tennis racquet, a select number of racquets will be available.

If you are new to Kayaking or want to improve your skills, this 6-hour beginner course offers professional kayaking instruction to help participants develop new skills and feel confident on the water. Class will begin at Clear Waters Outfitting before moving to the calm and scenic Warner Lake that is perfect for beginners. Be prepared to get in the water.
