Adult & Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid (Ages 11+)
Wellness
The American Heart Association: Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid program helps you recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, automated external defibrillator (AED), breathing and first aid emergencies in adults, children and infants. This program will teach you the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed. Upon successful completion, you'll receive an American Heart Association: Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid certification card that is valid for two years. The certification will be emailed within a few days after completion. This class is suitable for participants as young as 11 years of age and must have the strength to compress a CPR manikin two inches. Enter door 1.

Adult Group Golf Lessons

Adult lessons are a perfect balance for the beginner golfer and those who want to review the basics and brush up on their game. You will learn the proper grips, stance, club selection, chipping, putting, full swing, common rules and course etiquette. You will enjoy lessons with a variety of demonstrations, handouts, practice time, skill challenges and time on the course. Bring to class: your own clubs. Please notify Angushire Golf Club in advance if you do not have clubs as a select amount of clubs may be available.

BWCA Preparedness Workshop

NEW! Prepare for your Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness adventure with a full-day, hands-on prep course at scenic Warner Lake in Clearwater. This comprehensive, instructor-led class equips beginners and experienced paddlers alike with the essential skills needed for a safe and successful canoe trip Participants will actively practice: Trip planning and packing Proper canoe paddling techniques Cooking meals over a campfire and stove Setting up and breaking down a campsite Key wilderness safety practices—including wearing life jackets, handling emergencies, weather awareness, and Leave No Trace principles Wilderness navigation basics, such as map reading, compass use, and locating portages And much more! In a real-world environment, you'll build confidence and competence through direct hands-on experience. Whether you're planning your first Boundary Waters trip or refreshing your skills before heading out, this full-day course provides everything you need for secure, enjoyable wilderness travel.

Beginner Pickleball Lessons

Come experience the fastest growing sport in the country and build your confidence and skills in this friendly, beginner focused environment. Beginner One sessions will teach players the rules, proper form and basic strategies of the game. Beginner Two sessions will help participants strengthen core skills, improve game knowledge and shot selection. In addition, participants will also learn about about the etiquette of 'open play' and have an opportunity to be connected to other beginners. Participants are welcome to bring their own paddles or use the paddles provided. Beginner One players are new to pickleball and have a minimal understanding of the game and no prior experience. Beginner Two players have a basic understanding of the rules and can maintain a short rally. About the Instructor: With a passion for teaching, Mary Kelsey taught Physical Education in the Rocori School District for 37 years. She has extensive experience in paddle sports having played in the original Women's Tennis League as well as the upper levels of Women's Racquetball. Since retirement she has transitioned to becoming an avid pickleball player and coach having taught the game to hundreds newcomers in the area.

Boxing for Fitness is for men and women whether competing or just wanting to learn the basic fundamentals of boxing while getting a great full body workout. Headgear and gloves will be provided to practice. Participants who are interested in competing can receive more information at class.

This beginner session offers basic instruction and experience to help participants learn how to canoe and gain confidence on the water. Class will take place at the calm waters of Warner Lake that is perfect for beginners. You can sign up with a partner or be paired with another paddler. All participants must sign a waiver and children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 18 need waiver signed by parent. No lifeguard will be present. All equipment will be supplied by Clear Waters Outfitting. Meet at Warner Lake boat launch.

Participants will move through a variety of exercises including seated marching, jacks, arm reaches, and core work for a well-rounded, full-body workout. Options to incorporate light weights allow you to adjust the intensity to match your goals. Join professional dance instructor Jeff Ringer for a fun and energetic line dancing class that will leave you ready to hit the floor. Classes will feature a mix of the old time favorites and some fresh contemporary routines. Introduction to Shoulder & Foot Massage

This hands-on class provides the opportunity for partners or close friends to learn basic techniques and experience some of the benefits of massage. Physician’s approval is requested if you have an upper back or neck injury. Outdoor Restorative Yoga With KPower

NEW! Experience deep relaxation, breath work, and intensified stretching as you slow your body and mind, and open yourself to healing. Practice includes extended holds of postures with yoga props to experience a new level of restoration by holding poses longer all while breathing in the fresh air in our outdoor studio. Perfect for those just starting out in their yoga journey as well as for the advance yogi who is wanting to perfect the basics of their poses with fine attention to alignment details. Upon poor weather conditions, class will be held in the indoor studio.

Rock Steady Boxing for Seniors (with or without Parkinson's disease)

This boxing-for-fitness program is for seniors over 55 as well as individuals with Parkinson's Disease. You'll participate in non-contact boxing drills that help build motor skills, balance and coordination through a variety of different exercises including punching a heavy bag, hitting the focus mitts and some glove-to-glove contact. A variety of movements, stepping, bobbing and weaving help you build focus, be attentive and get in shape. Class instructors are certified through Rock Steady Boxing of Indianapolis and the Struthers Parkinson's Center of Park Nicollet. Boxing gloves will be provided along with walkers, canes and wheelchairs to assist those that need support when standing. Wear light shoes for standing on foam wrestling mats.
